In this movie, Michael Moore argues that people should be able to get true health care which does not come from purpose of company to making money. I was very shocked that even those people who have health insurance suffer from money problems and have to fight with insurance company to get the support which they should have been getting. The origin of health insurance is supposed to be to help people get the best health care without worrying about how much they have to pay for it. Moore is really good at showing the reality in his movie, and obviously he knows how to do it. He uses techniques such as music, tones of people’s voice, diagrams, etc. Especially, he used a lot of real people and their real emotion to show how realistic this movie is and these things happened in the movie can happen to anyone at anytime. If Moore tried to express his argument in an essay, it would be very different. First of all, it is impossible to put all the information he put in this movie to an essay. He can only use words in a essay, and it means all the precious information he given with sounds, music, people’s voice, people’s face impression would be gone. Therefore, it would be impossible to persuade the readers as much as he did to the movie audience. He uses words on the screen to explain any mathematic information, and uses diagram to make it easier to understand. Especially when he listed all the disease’s names which customers can’t have in order to get health insurance on the screen, he used star war’s music and background which looks like space, and I thought that was very effective and shocking and very sarcastic. He can list all of these disease’s names in his essay, but it would be too long, and it won’t be as effective as it was in the movie.

If only
What if your love one dies in front of your eyes by a car accident? What if you get one last chance to change the destiny the next day? Movie If Only reminded me so much of Final Destination. Probably because the main character tries to prevent death of someone he loves. However, If Only is a romantic movie, and does not have any action or comedy elements in it. I watched this movie because one of my friends told me this is one of the best romantic movies she ever watched. It was very true, and I loved this movie so much. Some people might call this as a chick flick but, I personally think every man should watch this movie, because it explains what girls want guys to do, and how girls want to be treated like. I think this is heartwarming movie, but has big message in it. The message is that sometime people realize someone or something is very important to them after they lose it, so they should appreciate what they have right now.
This movie takes place in London, so the movie director was very smart by using English actor Paul Nicholls. He definitely has the British accent, and it gives more feel to the movie. Jennifer Love Hewitt is an American actress but, she has very unique sweetness and it fits very well to this character Samantha Andrews very well. This movie starts with a morning of typical couple who live together. The boyfriend is always so busy he can’t pay attention to his girlfriend. On that day they get into a fight, and the girlfriend leaves him and get into a taxi. She gets into big car accident in front of his eyes, and she dies. Next morning, when he wakes up, his girlfriend who passed away last night is right next to him, and he get one another chance to spend the last day with her.
This is very fast going movie. As I said this movie is composed with two exact same days, but the first day until the Samantha gets into a car accident happens in first thirty minutes. So the director divided this movie into two parts, but the first part is 1/3 and the second part is 2/3 of the movie. They hit all the small same incidents happened in the first day also happens in the second day such as Ian breaks his watch, Coca-Cola spilled on her sweater, etc. However to put the main at second part, the director made the second day double size compare to the first day.
This movie uses the weather and scenery very well. Especially for the raining scene at the climax, if it was not raining, it wouldn’t be as dramatic and sad as it was. Also the scene Ian (Paul Nicholls) and Samantha visits where he drew up, the scenery of the mountain they climb up is so beautiful, and it is emotionally very effective when Samantha climb up this mountain by herself at the end, it brings back the feeling all together. How you ever had the experience when you go to specific place you have been before, you remember very clearly what you did there with whom, and even how you felt at the time? I think the director Gil Junger used the psychological technique very well.
I did not know about this director at all before I watch this movie, but he born on November 7th in 1954 in New York City. I was surprised because I was born on November 7th too. I was interested in him immediately because when two a person has same birthday as me, I want to know more about the person no matter who it is. His most famous film is 10 Things I Hate About You. I watched the movie trailer, and the movie seems hilarious. Gill Junger seems to be able to do various kinds of movie like funny comedy or sad romance.
This movie if Only is targeting big range of people, probably age fifteen to fifty. It is very pure and romantic although very sad, so this movie would make so many people cry and emotionally entertained. I definitely think it worth spending money to watch this movie, and I told all of my friends to watch this movie. The ending of this movie was unexpected and I was very sad and surprised, but maybe it is another message in this movie such as destiny can not be changed.

I recently watched movie called ‘if only’, and it totally made me cry so I would like to write about this movie. When I watched this movie, it reminded me of movie Final Destination. Advertising Critique
There are thousands of millions of commercials we see everyday on TV; however there are only several commercials which can make me smile, and feel warm. Hove you ever had that experience a commercial made your day? This Porsche commercial that I found is absolutely adorable and definitely made my day. The reasons I love this commercial is because it has story in it like a movie, the sounds in background which is very effective, and climax as boy says ‘I will see you in about twenty years’ which made me say ‘Awwww’.
First of all, I usually do not like commercials because they are way too informative, and screaming at us ‘BUY ME!’ They are just too much for me, and sometimes it makes me have headache to see how people do anything and everything to sell their products. However this Porsche commercial was different from those commercials. It was like a short movie and it got my attention immediately after I start watching this commercial. The way this commercial started was very interesting and made me wonder ‘What is going to happen next?’
There are very classy piano sounds in background. There is three parts they uses the same music in this commercial and it is highlighting the significant experience the boy gets with the Porsche. The first part is when the Porsche passes by his school, and gets his attention. He can’t take his eyes off of the Porsche, and in the fifteen second, they play this music in background. The second part is when he gets in to the Porsche at the store. While he was holding the handle, looking very excited and impressed, the same nice music is played. The third part is just after he says to a guy who works at Porsche store ‘I will see you in about twenty years.’ The Porsche Company wanted to highlight these three parts in their commercial the most, so they did by using the music. I think it is very classy idea to highlight the product, instead of just screaming the product’s name and what they can do. With this classy music, they succeed to maintain their high class image. If they highlighted this commercials by screaming their product name like some other commercials, I am sure they would lose their customer by being not classy enough.
I especially like the climax of this commercial when he says ‘I will probably see you in twenty years.’ As I said, this commercial has story in it, and this is the climax of the story when everything makes sense and connects all the parts in this commercial together. This climax made me imagine how he will probably start studying very hard, and plan his future to get his dream Porsche. I think this imagining part is very effective and important as advertisement.
This commercial was very close to movie, and I personally really loved watching this commercial. I even sent this to some of my close friends and told them to watch it because it is so adorable. This commercial proved to me that a commercial can be very high quality and entertaining without repeating or screaming the products same over and over or using trifling jokes. They succeed to send the message they wanted to send to the audience with the cute little story. It totally changed my view of a commercial and I was impressed by what a commercial can do.

A Commercial description (Porsche commercial)
I was looking for the perfect commercial for this first assignment for English 101 on YouTube tonight, and I found this super cute commercial for Porsche. It is three minutes long, and like a short movie and has a story in it. I automatically felt in love with this commercial because it is infomercial and very heartwarming, adorable. First, they show a class room with full of young student, and they are taking geography class. While teacher is lecturing, a boy who sits close to a window seems bored, and looking outside of the window. He seems to be around six years old and so do his classmates. There is a silver Porsche driving on the street, and it gets the boys attention. While the Porsche passing by, the boy keeps stealing at it, and doesn’t notice that his pencil dropped on the floor. Because of the sound, the teacher found out that he was looking outside instead of listening to her lecture and asks him “William, can you tell us what is so interesting out the window?” His classmates laughs at him and he is little embarrassed. He draws a picture of Porsche on his note book, and as soon as the bell rings, he runs to outside and rides on his bicycle. He stops at Porsche store, and goes inside. There is this guy in a suit working in the store looking very serious. He asks the boy “Can I help you?” and the boy says “Yeah, do you have the new 911?” The guy in suit looks little surprised, but says “Yes, it’s right over here.” He shows the Porsche to the little boy, and asks him if he wants to get in the Porsche. The boy gets in the Porsche, and he seems very excited and impressed. When he gets out of the Porsche, he asks the guy in suit, “Do you have a business card?” When the little boy leaves the store, he says to the guy “I will see you in about…..20 years.” The guy smiles and the little boy leave with his bicycle. There is nice calm music through these conversations exchanged. After that, they show the Porsche 911 with different angles and in background narrator says ‘It’s a funny thing about a Porsche. There is a moment you know you want one, there is a moment when you first own one,,,,,,,’ and keeps go on about how amazing and meaningful a Porsche is. It is so cute and heartwarming so, I recommend everyone to check up this commercial.
